Free Buffet

I love feeding the birds in my garden, because I love to sit inside and watch them around the bird house. About 6 or 7 years ago I wished for a nice bird house, and I surely got it. Son has designed the "Mansion" and DH has made it. Here it is Mr. Squirrel enjoying the free buffet.

When son was a little boy he hummed while eating if he liked the food. But he is not that crazy about broccoli. :)

A Crush on Ella

I've got a crush on Ella! I truly understand why Marilyn loved her music so much ...

When Marilyn discovered that, due to the colour bar, Ella Fitzgerald was not permitted to play in her favourite nightclub, the Mocambo in Los Angeles, Marilyn approached the manager, Charlie Morrison, and promised to sit in the front row for a week if he let Ella play. Morrison agreed to break the colour bar and Fitzgerald would never again have to play in a small, second-rate jazz club.

As Ella said "She [Marilyn] was beyond her time, she just didn't know it.".
They became friends for life.

I have several CD's and two LP's with Ella's music and I'm hearing it again and again. I highly recommend her music if you're in a vintage mood.

Change Wardrobe

Once in a while I pamper myself with a magazine, and sometimes women are asked who they would change wardrobe with. Who I would change wardrobe with? Marilyn Monroe!? Good guessing. It would be a very good investment for me, but seen from a daily life view, how usable are her clothes then? A liiiittle too sexy. So I choose to change with Betty Draper from Mad Men – look at her:

She has such wonderful dresses, suits and skirts. I hope her purses, shoes, jewellery and HUSBAND comes with it too:
