On the other side of the street, the main character, Mads Skjern, started his shop with clothes for the lower and middle class:
The local bank was also represented:
Later in the series Mr. Skjern got very successful and opened "Skjerns Department Store":
Well, on to the cars. Here we have the Mistress' car, and Austin Seven from either 1932 or 1935 (according to my dad, who is a real car nerd):
And here is Oluf Larsen's, aka Pig Dealer Larsen, Chrysler from 1930:
This is Mr. Skjern's brother's car, a Ford Model 18 from 1932:
Still a very nice car.
And here is Mads Skjern's Morris 10 Six from 1934:
It is also still a nice car.
This is not:
It is Ford Junior de Luxe from 1937, an "extra".
There is not that much "De Luxe" here any longer:
This is Colonel Hachel's Fiat 501 from 1924:
And lastly - another extra, a Chevrolet from 1924:
It was such a good and cosy idea.
These are wonderful - I especially love the last green Chevy. Though, thankfully, it's not to rare to spot a 1950s or even 40s car on the road still around these parts (especially during the summer months), it's far less common to see on this old. I so adore the designs of early automobiles - their shape and specs seem a million miles away from the cars of today.

I love vintage cars too, you know, so I had to post these photos. Most of us Danes love the TV-series, what makes it even more interesting.
