I bought a few new Halloween decoration items during Whitsun:
I love skulls, so I simply had to buy the candy bowl formed as a half skull with a pirate hat. The small orange pumpkin candle holders have such a lovely colour and will look nice in my window sills.
I wish you all a very scary and happy Halloween. :)
These are terrific! I really like the jack-o-lantern with the skeleton hand wrapped ominiously around it - very spooky! It's always a bit tough to see my favourite holiday come and go again, but that's okay, there' always next year to think about and, I swear, I am tossing a few ideas around in my head for next year's costume already. We had a great night, just as I hope you did as well, dearest Sanne.

*PS* Thank you deeply for your caring comment on my post about how Tony and I take our blog post photos. Yes, sometimes I use a wheelchair, but it doesn't phase me really. I'm grateful for the fact that it's sometimes the difference between me being able to leave the house or not. I need a better one that what I have (ideally, one day, an electric one, but that won't likely be happening anytime soon), but mine is okay - the seat is a little bit bigger than it should be for someone my size, but it's reliable and relatively comfortable. I got it second hand quite a few years ago now, and it's still holding up really well, so I can't complain there. It's a shame they weren't more comfortable - and electric! - or I'd really be apt to get a vintage one. Who knows maybe if I ever see one for sale for a real bargain, I'll get it as more of a collectible piece than a functional mobility aid. (I passed along your wonderfully nice compliment to Tony, who beamed a giant smile and said to tell you "Thank you very much!".)
I have just packed everything away today, and am a bit sad too - but hey, now it is soon Christmas, and it's my favourite Holiday of all. You always write such thoughtful and nice comments, so I wanted to let you know that I felt truly sad for you - that you have to use a wheelchair. I'm glad, though, that you consider it mobility aid, and I am sure you can make it look both elegant and lovely whily using it. Have a great weekend, dear. :)
