Late Summer Nails

Yes, I know - autumn is almost over now, but here are my late summer manicures and also a few from the early autumn. I always collect mani photos to make a post with several different.

The first mani is quite nice, and it is just some super cheap (and rubbish) flower stickers from a Chinese shop on top of L'Oreal's Shocking Pink polish:
I don't think it is that shocking. The flower stickers broke the day after, but it looked nice at the party it was made for.

This is a quick mani I made for a girl friend - Ciaté's lovely duo chrome Spending Spree with dots of OPI's DS Extravangance:
I love that combination.

I went to the annual Opel GT car meeting in August and forgot my camera both day - yes, I am very proud of myself - so no photos, but here is my mani:
Some of the ladies in the club have found nail polish in the same colour as the car, so I had too. It is from Max Factor named Wine Red. I don't know if you can still buy it, since it is some years ago I bought it. On top of it I've made stribes of Sally Hansen's charcoal grey glitter polish, which I found in the USA.

And here is a super cheap magnetic polish, I have made stars in, which is hard to see - but the colour is nice:
To make the mani a little more interesting, I added blue glitter.

Here is a neon green discount polish. I think I should have used a white base, then it would have popped more, but I do like the colour as it is. It is stamped with my new PUEEN plates:
I love that they have so many different patterns. On top of it all a green glitter polish.

This colour from Sally Hansen Scarab was so beautiful it had to stand on its own. I only added some glitter from Sinful Colours Nail Junkie at my ring finger:
It is a blueish-green duo chrome polish, but I think you have to look hard to find the duo chrome effect. But anyway, it is a beauty.

Here is the only nude colour I own, and which I like - Deborah Lippmann Careless Whisper:
Also stamped with my new PUEEN plates and French tips. It looked very nice in real life, but I don't think it does in the photo. :( And now it is again hopeless to take decent nail polish photos, sigh!

New Shoes

But doesn't she buy shoes anymore? Oh yes, I do, but I have really tried to behave since I bought 12 pairs of shoes a few years ago! I don't exactly have a rule like "one pair in, one pair out" but later the same year I sorted out 12 pairs. This year I have sorted out 15 pairs and haven't bought any new pairs until now! We attended the annual Opel GT club meeting (no photos because I forgot my camera both day, yes, I am very proud of myself!), where we went to the City of Roskilde and went for a walk in the main street. There was an outlet shop I had to visit. First I found these lovely flip-flops:
They stood there on the shelf and glittered in the most insinuating way. They are so nice and great for garden parties and other places where high heels are not the best choice.

I also found these pink flats with black rhinestone hearts at the toes:
They were reduced from approx. 215 dollars to 54 dollars, so I simply had to add them to my small collection of flats.

Further down the street there was a Bianco shop with a rack with shoes reduced by 70%, so I had to try these on:

I thought they were a bit too high for my broken ankle, but they only cost approx. 21 dollars, so I bought them anyway - look at those golden toes:
They are fabulous!

Well, DH found a pair of boots which he thought was so nice, but I could not press my instep into the right one, very strange. But the nice saleswoman called a shop in my neighbouring city and had a pair put aside for me. I went there a few days after and they fit:
Look how nice they are with golden zipper and gold on the heel.

But this shop had made a wall with shoes for 17 dollars! It is plain mean, if you ask me! I simply had to take a closer look and found these black slingbacks with cut out holes:
Black shoes are an evergreen, and these are a little more exciting due to the cut holes and the golden strap.

Many years ago I had a pair of pastel green high heels and I have missed them ever since, so when I found this mint green pair, I was not in doubt:
They only had size 6.5, but with a sole in they fit. I have already planned lots of outfits with them. :)

New Plates

No, not for the record player, but for my nails. I follow Sophies blog, and when she showed nails stamped with PUEEN plates, I thought they were so nice and different that I had to own them too. I found them super cheap at Amazon. But look at them:
You can enlarge the photo by clicking at it.

What I like about these plates are most of them are full nail size patterns, which I call "wallpapers". And they really do cover the nail completely. I highly recommend them.
