Spring Nails

Well, the first is a snow mani, which I forgot to post earlier:

It is made with OPI Skislope Sweetie with OPI I Snow You Love Me, which I laboriously have placed in rows on each nail, except my ring finger which have got a layer of long holo glitter from Etsy.

This lovely duo chrome polish is from our tour to Germany. I just love duo chrome polishes:

It is from BeYu and has number 484. I have added dots with OPI's Tomorrow Never Dies, my favourite purple polish.

I call this mani "marshmallows":

The white polish is Sally Hansen's Beach Babe, my favourite white, and the pink texture polish is P2's Adorable. I've added a single rhinestone on each nail. I really loved this mani all week.

And here is my favourite spring green: Essies Navigate Her, on which I have dapped a glitter gradient with Sinful Colors Call You Later:

Nice and easy.

And here is one of the other polishes bought in Germany:

Astor's number 257 (it is simply so boring when polishes are just numbered) with a rhinestone eranthis, which my top coat unfortunately has etched a bit. I really wish I could find a top coat that did not ruin my rhinestones.

It was a little set of four minis and I simply could hear it cry Easter Nails. I bought several polishes from her, because she really had a great selection, which I will show you later.

Ready for Easter

I'm ready for Easter. :) I've been crocheting notalgic dress pot holders for all the women in the family, so I've been busy. But it was free, since they are made of left-over yarn. I think they turned out very well:

And here everything is wrapped and ready for giving Easter morning, where my mum hosts  the most wonderful Easter breakfast for all the family:

And I've painted my nails yellow with green glitter in the socalled Chevron pattern:

I am NEVER going to love yelow nails, but the green glitter helped a lot. The yellow polish is L'Oreal 302 and the green glitter is one of the Sinful  polishes I bought last year in the US, number 932, I really love it!

Easter Fun

My sister and I are very lucky to have summer cottages right beside each other, so we visit each other all day long. I am drinking latte at my sister's house and ask my little niece, she's six, if she has sent any Easter letters (in Denmark we send cut-out Easter letters often with a snowdrop, the receiver being asked to guess who the sender is, and if not, the receiver owes the sender an Easter egg). I quickly adds that she must not say to whom. She nods and smiles. "Have they guessed them?" I ask. And she turns and asks: "No, you haven't guessed it yet, mummi?". My sister is shaking her head very energic and her mouth is very tight, so she doesn't laugh out loud. :)

I've made Easter nails, I tried to make a freehand daffodil:

Not that easy and in fact the right one is better (although I'm right handed), since I suppose I had figured out how fast the polish dries. The green polish is the brand new "Navigate Her" from Essie's spring collection, and it is the most perfect dusty pale green colour ever. If just Mrs. Essie would make the polish less thin and the brush bigger, then it would be fabulous.

Overdose

I'm home again after literally having got an overdose of family and great food. It has been so cosy and we have been so social that it is OK to come home again.

I've been a little more quiet than usual here on my blog - a lot has happened: we have moved old (96 years) great-granny to a nursery home, I've already attended a fleah market at her new home and bought a lot of great treasures, but that's another story. I've got a tooth pulled and got a new job! Almost at the same time, that is I got the tooth pulled one day and the next I filled myself with pills and cotton tampons and went to a job interview. It was definately much more fun being together with my new boss than with my dentist! But why a new job AGAIN! I'm literally tired, I always work, they promise a lot, but nothing happens ... mum has to move on. At the new job I already know half of my new colleagues, and they are the sweetest, so I think that THIS time it will be great and THIS time I'll stay there for a long time ... perhaps not for the rest of my life, but for long! Congratulations to me!

Perhaps I even get the energy to to diet after having stuffed all those chocolate eggs into my beak this Easter! ;)

Ahhh, FIVE days off! I'm going to be together with my family, eat great food and lots of Easter eggs. I do hope the weather is going to be OK, for my Summer cottage is very tiny.

Job and Happy Easter

I hope you all get lots of eggs, sunshine and have a cosy time with friends and family. :)

I will! We go to my tiny Summer Cottage at the Isle of Moen (small southern Danish Island). Friday, we have invited my sister and family for barbecue dinner. Saturday, my mother in law has invited us for dinner. And Monday, my mum makes Easter breakfast for all of us. It is a lovely old tradition, we give each other eggs and there is chocolate eggs all over the table. Almost as great as Christmas.

I started my new job this Wednesday, and there is a very friendly tone all over the house. Everybody is very nice to me and I've got an introduction plan. There is lots of goodies, like we can borrow movies, we get free tickets to cinemas and other events, we get birthday gifts - I've never tried that before. I've already placed some orders and answered some customer calls. I know I'm impatient, but I want to get started and help as soon as possible. I'm very tired when I come home, there are SO many new things to learn and I have to be hyper-charming all day, so not much energy to blog, I'm sorry!
